Near the Bridge
I think this should be my last post with the photos from the New Year holidays. In further post I will return to day-to-day photography as I have something to show in my photoqueue :) But I wouldn’t say that I will not go and shoot winter any more this year as I suppose there will be some good days with great light and lots of blue sky and white snow, long deep shadows and calm scenes. No. And after all the shoots I’ve made I can admit that winter IS beautiful!

Snowpaths
This time I decided to take a longer trip deeper in the coutryside – almot 100 km from Moscow to one of the villages near the Moscow River. Lucky me the day was sunny again and this time it was a little warmer than in previous sessions and I managed to stay in the open air for half of a day! I will not describe how cold was I when I came home, but the result again left me satisfied with that long but very pleasant journey!

Winter Sunwatch
Found on bank of Moscow River.
Actually this is a pier for the barge that go up and down the river in summer and it is usually almost totally hidden in the water. But in winter time it looks completely different and unusual…

Sea-Buckthorn
It’s amazing what can be found outide the city in winter. This tree was found near the village in deep in the countryside. It was all covered with orange berries! And they were so sweet (if to compare to its summer taste – it is very astringent and sour)

Winter on the Moscow-River

Welcome to the Winter Fairytale
I tried my best to postpone the moment I will post this day photoshoots here. There is something in them, something I cannot describe - the are simply my favs among all the shoots I’ve made during the New Year holidays… This was absolutely magical day full of a real beauty dicoverings almost in every step I made during my long walk aroud Zhukovskiy town.
I’ve splitted these day into 3 posts and this is the 1st one. I would not say much as I still have no words to describe the beauty of the nature… Just see it yourself and let your eye judge all this…

Winter in the Village
I’m still saying I don’t like winter!.. But the more photoshoots I make – the less I’m sure in this statement. Yes, I don’t love the weather – cold, freezing, brrr… But when after couple of hours spent outside frozen and tired I sit down in front of my laptop in warm flat and look through the photos I took.. Well I can say that I’m beginning to think that winter definitely can be nice :)

On Snow Dunes
This time I decided to see one of my favourite lakes covered with snow. The weather was great – sun shining, no wind, but.. -17 degrees! But the scapes I saw left me happy I could come and stay there for a couple of hours..
