All the Yellows of Autumn

Last weekend, as usual, I got out to shoot some autumn scenes. The weather was great – clear blue sky highlighted the yellows all around, the touch of warm sun light gave a very speacial feeling to every tree, every bush. No matter where I turned I was surrounded with gentle yellow warmth.

 

P.S. I never liked autumn, just because of its cold and gloomy days, o similar to one another. And the expectation of winter made it even more cold and unpleasant. But after visiting this lake (this is Bykovo country estate I was earlier in summer), I set in my car and thought to myself “Such autumn can be loved”

Fall Sunset

I love early autumn sunsets for the specific light that reveals all the beauth of every scene, makes the colours brighter, shadows longer. The air is even more transparent giving the one a chance to see every detail. It’s a pity the warm yellow autumn period is so little in Russia (1 month max) and you need to be very lucky not t spend this time in gloomy rainy city.

This time I was relying on luck when I got our from the town to one of my favourite places outside Moscow. The weather was rather cold all day and the clouds were covering all the sky. Though somehow I felt that there should be a ray of light at the end of the day and took a risk.. I was rewarded at last. When the sun almost touched the horisont the clouds got higher allowing the sun to kiss the earth goodnight. This kiss lasted for 15-20 minutes till the sn disappeared and it started to get colder.

I drove back home smiling…

Early Autumn Mood

These photos were taken in the very beginning of September. The weather was still good and the sun gave its last warm kiss to earth before long cold grey winter. It was a short period of time when you can still leave your coat at home and enjoy warm sunbeams together will all the nature around you…
